This position works seamlessly together with the Service Delivery Coordinators and other resources across organizational boundaries to ensure all aspects and constraints of the application are understood and have been considered. As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for: * Ensure compliance with Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process * Providing sales support and product application recommendations * Coordinating to implement area specific product strategies and best practices * Performing offset well analysis to understand application hazards and incident potential * Providing technical guidance and presentations to customers relating to product performance and new drill bit technology * Investigating unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative actions * Accurately document any calculations/simulations/plan revision and/or changes during the project cycles for visibility to dependent teams and audit purposes * Strong communication and inter\-personal skills; excellent customer awareness. * Ability to relate to well site personnel at all levels, be a strong team member, and demonstrate leadership capability. * Under minimal supervision provides direct instruction and supervision to junior Field Engineers on day\-to\-day work and activities. * Conducting all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements. **Fuel your passion** To be successful in this role you will: * Have bachelor's in Engineering * 1 to 3 years of oilfield industry experience in drilling. * Demonstrate previous experience client\-facing roles * Strong organizational, analytical, and problem\-solving skills * Demonstrate technical knowledge in roller cone and PDC * Demonstrate technical knowledge in: + Hydraulics, + Drill string, directional drilling, + Drilling parameters optimization + IADC dull grading * Demonstrate knowledge in managing + Time and Depth based, data analysis, + Drilling and Drill Bits Hydraulics and Torque \& Drag Calculations * Proficient use of computer\-based software. * Work on Field Incidents related to products/services * Ability to travel/mobilize to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, etc. Desired characteristics * Be initiative driven, problem solver should be willing to increase their knowledge base in drill bit and drilling systems applications within the oilfield industry. * Expertise in MS Excel, Business Intelligence tools (Power Bi, Tableau) and Data Visualization Tools (ex: WellCAD) * English Level Medium to Advance (Written / Spoken) Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
