




Job Summary: Assist Operators in the units within your area, complying with quality, safety, and environmental standards at the Bahía Blanca Refinery. Key Highlights: 1. Focus on safety, hygiene, and environmental protection Main Purpose – Job Mission:* Assist the Operator(s) in the units within your area in all routine, regular, and supplementary tasks established in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, while complying with quality, safety, and environmental standards at the Bahía Blanca Refinery, in accordance with Trafigura’s policies. Key Responsibilities – Main Tasks and Actions:* Assist Operators in any task related to the units within your area. * Follow operational and emergency procedures, as well as any task defined by your Supervisor as part of operational discipline plans. * Receive training for higher-level functions and participate in any supplementary training programs defined by your Supervisor. * Participate in the designated role within the Refinery Emergency Brigade, including drills and simulations scheduled for this purpose. * Ensure compliance with corporate HSE/SMS guidelines, company standards and policies, as well as local legislation and social responsibility practices. Safety, Hygiene and Environment Skills – Safety, Hygiene and Environmental Competencies:* Ability to identify, control, and prevent risks associated with assigned tasks. * Ability to respond to emergencies. Knowledge of different roles. Participation in drills. * Awareness of the importance of actions performed, understanding that such actions are not isolated; rather, they form part of an integrated system and may impact the process. * Knowledge of waste segregation practices at the plant. * Training and updates regarding liquid, gaseous, and odorous effluents and their relevance to daily Operations department tasks. * Environmental Support Agent: knowledge of environmental legislation and its application at the Refinery. * Knowledge of visual environmental impacts and participation in training to serve as an early-warning agent for impacts potentially perceived by the community. * Knowledge and updates on risks inherent to refinery operations and available means to address them. * Training in GHS (Globally Harmonized System – identification and labeling for chemical hazard identification). Knowledge and abilities – Technical Competencies for the Position:* Mandatory technical education (Chemical Technicians, Industrial Operations Technicians, Automation Technicians, or related fields). * Basic knowledge of physicochemistry, process equipment, pumps, compressors, and field instrumentation. * Proficiency in using computer tools. * Experience in continuous process operations (not mandatory). * Availability to work rotating shifts.
