At Zeni, we are searching for a Senior Java Developer to join our Technology/IT department, participating in the corrective and evolutionary maintenance of critical applications and in the technological evolution of our core systems. **Role Objective:** To serve as the team’s technical reference, actively participating in the analysis, design, and development of Java-based backend solutions, ensuring technical quality, adherence to best practices, and supporting the continuous improvement of existing systems. **Main Responsibilities:** • Analysis of functional and technical requirements • Development and maintenance of Java backend applications • Development and consumption of REST APIs • Participation in technical decisions and architectural improvements • Technical reference and mentoring for less senior profiles • Continuous interaction with internal departments **Requirements:** • 3–5 years of experience as a Java Developer • Java 8+ (ideally 11/17) and Spring Boot • REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, and advanced SQL • Relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) • Git, Maven/Gradle, and unit testing • Technical English — Preferred: Experience with legacy systems (Struts), Docker, CI/CD, messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ), microservices, and frontend fundamentals. **Desired Profile:** Autonomy, technical leadership, mentoring vocation, analytical mindset, and orientation toward continuous improvement.
