




Job Summary: Responsible for the proper functioning, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and hydraulic equipment on H&P drilling rigs, in accordance with HSEQ standards. Ensuring proper functioning, appropriate repair, preventive, corrective, and proactive maintenance in the mechanical and hydraulic areas of the equipment and machinery comprising H\&P drilling rigs, in compliance with all regulations, plans, and the HSEQ Program established by the company. RESPONSIBILITIES**:** The following items represent most of the duties required for this position; however, this description is merely illustrative and does not preclude assignment of additional tasks when necessary. Actively C.A.R.E. * Perform major inspections and repairs of drilling rig equipment and components, preventive and corrective maintenance, and diagnose mechanical and hydraulic failures during equipment operation and rig moves. * Carry out scheduled repairs and maintenance of drilling equipment, diesel generators, equipment located at camps or bases, or equipment belonging to drilling rigs. * Execute maintenance and/or repairs on front-end loaders and personnel lifting equipment according to requirements and maintenance plans or programs for such equipment. * Take measurements using measuring instruments as needed, interpret results, and take action per instructions from immediate supervisor and/or work plan. * Install chains, couplings, hydraulic lines, air lines, and oil lines. * Verify that appropriate tools are available and in good condition. * Provide accurate information to maintenance and operations colleagues, indicating upcoming operations and any changes in equipment conditions and known risks. * Coordinate equipment inspections, maintenance, and/or repairs with other departments and work teams. * Comply with and ensure compliance with maintenance processes and procedures per standards set by: equipment manufacturers, internal H\&P standards, API standards, and/or other applicable standards and regulations affecting the use and maintenance of mechanical and electrical assets. * Submit requisitions and track required parts and spare components to maintain adequate inventory levels and ensure timely supply through local warehouse and procurement staff. * Use the Flex Works Electronic Maintenance System to generate new work orders and report and record all repair and maintenance activities performed on equipment. * Timely close service orders generated by the Electronic Maintenance System for each piece of equipment. * Appropriately and safely select mechanical and hydraulic testing procedures for equipment components under repair. * Verify that test equipment is calibrated and operating properly. * Evaluate equipment performance and monitor equipment utilization. * Diagnose equipment to identify failures and proceed with corresponding maintenance. * Assume responsibility for and follow up on repairs until the desired outcome is achieved.
