Position Summary: We are seeking a Head of Logistics to ensure operational continuity of a major construction project in CABA by designing and implementing an integrated logistics strategy, managing material flow, and optimizing space utilization. Design the logistics network and manage supply risks At **Kinetic Talent**, we support our client in launching a **major construction project in CABA, Buenos Aires.** We are looking for a **Head of Logistics**, whose primary mission will be to ensure operational continuity of the project through the design and execution of an integrated logistics strategy. This role will be responsible for coordinating material flow, managing vertical transportation, inventory control, and waste disposal—ensuring that each resource is delivered to the worksite at the right time, thereby optimizing operational continuity and on-site space utilization. Key responsibilities include: * **Vertical transportation:** Plan and coordinate scheduling for freight elevators, passenger elevators, and cranes. * **Central and satellite warehouses:** Manage the main warehouse and temporary storage areas on each floor of the construction site. * **Reverse logistics:** Administer return of pallets and packaging materials, as well as removal and disposal of construction waste. * **Basic supplies:** Ensure provision of water, temporary power, and consumables across all project levels. * **Supply chain strategy and planning:** Align material deliveries with the 6-week lookahead schedule defined by the Schedule Coordinator to ensure operational continuity. * **Logistics network design:** Define access routes, loading/unloading zones, and strategic stockpiling points both inside and outside the site (buffer management). * **Supply risk management:** Identify supply chain risks (e.g., strikes, customs delays, material shortages) and develop contingency plans. * **Last-mile logistics on site:** Coordinate vertical and horizontal movement of materials to ensure their availability at the worksite at the required time. * **Collaboration with Procurement (MEP Purchasing):** Ensure purchase orders incorporate logistical requirements (packaging type, identification, and delivery schedule). * **Operational safety:** Guarantee that all loading and unloading operations comply with current safety protocols. * **Sustainability:** Optimize transport routes and manage packaging waste in accordance with certification standards (e.g., LEED). **Requirements** **Mandatory:** * **Academic background:** Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain. * **Experience in high-rise construction:** Minimum 3–5 years in logistics management for high-rise building or large-scale infrastructure projects (≥15 floors). * **Inventory management:** Proficiency in WMS, ERP systems (SAP or similar), and digital stock control tools. * **Safety and regulations:** Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards applicable to material stacking and handling of critical loads. * **Blueprint reading:** Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings to define storage areas and load-bearing capacities. * **Management tools:** Advanced proficiency in Excel and mobile applications for logistics reporting and control. **Desirable:** * Training in Lean Construction (Just-in-Time and material flow management). * Familiarity with BIM 4D/5D at user level for logistics coordination. **Benefits** * Compensation commensurate with the challenge and seniority.
