The candidate will be responsible for: * Leading discipline activities and milestone deliveries * Leading the review of technical documentation related to Piping (specifications, data sheets, calculation reports, line lists, quantity take-offs, technical evaluations, among others) * Technical coordination within the discipline and with other project units * Coordination and review of vendor documentation * Providing technical support to the team and client, contributing to engineering problem resolution by applying accepted principles, codes, standards, applicable procedures * Establishing effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and clients * Focus on reviewing and supporting operations from the discipline perspective to resolve conflicts and re-engineering needs What Makes You Extraordinary? It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world’s most critical challenges. * Professional degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field * Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering project development within the chemical or energy industries, having worked in consulting firms * Experience in: + Advanced interpretation of P&IDs and process control logic + Developing discipline-specific deliverables such as specifications, material lists, flexibility analysis, among others + Coordinating, selecting, and specifying materials, valves, fittings, and other piping components required for project execution + Reviewing and technically validating 3D models and associated discipline outputs + Coordinating piping flexibility analysis and providing recommendations to ensure the integrity of designed systems + Preparing and reviewing design notes, calculations, and data sheets to support drawings and discipline documents + Developing typical engineering project documents across different phases (conceptual, basic, detailed) + Preparing and reviewing man-hour estimates for proposals + Design codes, standards, and practices (international and local). Ensuring designs comply with these, along with client specifications and good engineering practices. Ensuring compliance with company quality procedures and standards. + Ability to conduct technical presentations to the discipline, train, and mentor less experienced personnel + Planning and managing projects using relevant tools (schedules, execution logic, change notices, etc) * Desirable: + Proficiency in Cadworx Plant and Equipment, Autocad, Caesar II, Bluebeam, Navis Simulate, Recap, Office, or similar software + Fluent written and spoken English
