***Job Summary:*** *The Regional Sr. Underwriter for Natural Resources will play a pivotal role in supporting the Regional Natural Resources Head in overseeing and expanding operations within the Power Generation and Energy sectors across Latin America and the Caribbean. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, Technical UW experience, capable of driving growth and ensuring operational excellence in alignment with the company’s sustainability goals.* ***Key Responsibilities:*** * ***Risk Assessment:*** + *Approve or decline referrals within assigned authority limits and recommend decisions for cases exceeding authority levels.* + *Collaborate with regional and country management to develop and refine underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures.* * ***Strategic Planning and Execution:*** + *Implementing regional strategies for the Natural Resources sector, focusing on Power Generation and Renewable Energy.* + *Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the company’s footprint in the region.* * ***Operational Management:*** + *Oversee day\-to\-day operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards and regulations.* + *Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and project execution.* * ***Team Leadership and Practice Development:*** + *Establish and strengthen relationships with brokers, insurance industry, business partners, re insurers and colleagues, to maximise influence and achieve business objectives.* + *Lead, mentor, and develop a high\-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.* + *Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other lines of business.* ***Qualifications:*** * *Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
