Job Description: • Position Title: Software Engineer \- Semi-Senior * Description: As a Semi-Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, you will participate in end-to-end digital solution development within agile teams, working on building and evolving web applications, APIs, and microservices that enhance Santander’s technology products. You will be part of a multidisciplinary squad, collaborating from design through deployment, with focus on quality, scalability, security, and user experience. Responsibilities Develop fullstack end-to-end features: o Frontend: Building web interfaces using React or Angular, reusable components, state management, API consumption, and UX/UI best practices. o Backend: Developing APIs and microservices with Node.js (e.g., Express/NestJS), implementing business logic, validations, error handling, and observability. Design and maintain API integrations between internal and external systems (contracts, versioning, security, resilience). Collaborate on implementing and improving CI/CD pipelines and automated tests (unit, integration, and/or e2e), ensuring quality and frequent deliveries. Analyze technical requirements and propose design improvements (performance, maintainability, scalability), working collaboratively with the team. Keep code and process documentation up to date (technical decisions, endpoints, workflows, runbooks). Actively participate in code reviews and quality practices (standards, linters, conventions, security). Requirements 2–4 years of software development experience. Practical experience with Node.js for backend (REST APIs, services, database integration). Experience with React or Angular (TypeScript, component architecture, API consumption, state management). Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (basic modeling, queries, initial performance tuning). Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Knowledge of version control (Git), testing, and agile methodologies. Plus Experience with MongoDB, Redis, and SQL. Participation in projects involving generative AI or process automation. Knowledge of AWS Lex or similar chatbots (conversational agents).
