Renault Fluence 2.0 Privilege MT
Description
Selling a 2011 Renault Fluence Privilege 2.0 gasoline model. The car starts, idles poorly, and stalls. One day, the car’s battery died, with a warning indicating a charging failure. A mechanic was called to service the alternator; since fuel injection maintenance was also required, the injectors, spark plugs, and ignition coils were replaced. The battery was replaced with a new one, and the coolant reservoir was also replaced due to age. The mechanic advised servicing the valve cover, so we performed a full overhaul: the valve cover was restored to like-new condition, and all valve stem seals were replaced. Two months prior, an oil and filter change service was performed. A full tune-up was carried out; after all this maintenance, the car initially idled properly, but upon taking a test drive, it began malfunctioning and stalling again. The fuel pump and exhaust system were inspected, yet the same issue persisted. The car was taken to another mechanic who conducted a comprehensive diagnostic and determined that the throttle body needed replacement. The throttle body was replaced, and the MAP sensor was also replaced as a precaution—yet the car still starts, sometimes idles poorly and remains running, while other times it starts, idles poorly, and stalls. A more professional diagnostic scan was performed, revealing that the camshaft timing is off, requiring recalibration. The bottom line is that I’ve already spent a substantial amount of money on repairs—the car is essentially like new—but the mechanic who performed the work has not returned to resolve this issue, and I cannot continue spending money on yet another mechanic to fix something I’ve already paid for, especially since this situation is generating excessive expenses. The car is exactly as shown in the photos: no bodywork or paint defects; only minor stone chips from highway driving, but overall it is in very good condition. The only flaw is the sunroof, which was sealed with acrylic after an attempted theft on Acceso Oeste—where a stone entered through it—leaving it permanently covered and disconnected. Viewings are possible by prior appointment; as stated in the title, this car is ideal for someone with mechanical expertise. The car has 193,000 km and I am the second owner. Any questions can be sent via private message. The vehicle is delivered debt-free.
