




**Position Overview** --------------------- **We are seeking a highly skilled and technically strong Salesforce Release Engineer to support and enhance the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for our Commercial and GHS Salesforce squads.** **The ideal candidate is a Copado expert with deep hands\-on experience in pipeline setup, configuration, and administration. This role is essential to ensuring a high\-quality, automated, and reliable delivery process across our Salesforce ecosystem.** **You will work closely with development, QA, and business teams to guarantee smooth release execution, strong governance, and continuous improvement of our deployment processes.** **Key Responsibilities** ------------------------ ### **Copado Pipeline Management** * **Design, configure, and maintain end\-to\-end Copado CI/CD pipelines, including environment setup, promotion paths, user stories, and automated deployment steps.** * **Ensure proper configuration across Commercial and GHS squads for consistent and reliable delivery.** ### **Release Execution \& Coordination** * **Lead and coordinate all Salesforce releases, ensuring compliance with release calendars and governance frameworks.** * **Oversee deployment activities and validate successful execution across all target environments.** ### **Quality, Automation \& Governance** * **Implement and enforce robust Quality Gates, including static code analysis, unit test validation, and compliance checks.** * **Increase automation within the deployment lifecycle to reduce manual effort and improve release quality and speed.** * **Maintain clear and accurate release documentation and ensure adherence to change control policies.** ### **Version Control \& Conflict Resolution** * **Manage Git branching and merging strategies within GitLab (UI and CLI).** * **Perform back\-promotion activities and proactively resolve metadata or merge conflicts caused by parallel development streams.** ### **Pipeline Optimization** * **Identify inefficiencies and manual processes within the release pipeline and propose improvements.** * **Implement automation toolkits and advanced deployment strategies leveraging Salesforce CLI, Metadata API, and related technologies.** ### **Troubleshooting \& Support** * **Provide expert\-level support for deployment issues, metadata inconsistencies, and CI/CD failures.** * **Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.** **Skills and Qualifications** ----------------------------- * **5\+ years of experience in Salesforce DevOps, Release Engineering, or CI/CD roles.** * **3\+ years of expert\-level experience with Copado, including pipeline configuration, promotions, quality gates, branching strategy, and governance.** * **Strong proficiency with Git (commands, branching strategies, conflict resolution) and experience using GitLab UI and CLI.** * **Solid understanding of Salesforce metadata types (e.g., Apex Classes, Profiles, Custom Objects, Layouts, Custom Metadata Types) and deployment nuances.** * **Experience with Salesforce automation and deployment tools, such as Salesforce CLI, Metadata API, or similar toolkits.** * **Strong analytical thinking and problem\-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.** * **Fluent English communication skills and strong collaboration abilities to work across cross\-functional technical and business teams.** **Preferred Certifications** ---------------------------- * **Copado Fundamentals I** * **Copado Fundamentals II** * **Salesforce Administrator Certification** **Why Join Us?** ---------------- **Join a dynamic team at the intersection of Salesforce CRM and DevOps, where your expertise will directly influence the speed, quality, and stability of mission\-critical platforms.
