




Wood is seeking expressions of interest from Instrumentation and Control Engineers to work on engineering projects, joining the Process and Chemicals business unit. This opportunity is based at Wood's offices in Mendoza. **The Role** This role focuses on ensuring the correct installation of instrumentation systems on construction projects by interpreting drawings and specifications, verifying compliance with standards, and managing non-conformances. You will coordinate with inspectors and supervisors, document daily progress and issues, support quality and cost control, participate in rework resolution, and maintain up-to-date technical documentation for the area. **Our Clients and Projects** **Designing the future. Perform daily checks of installed work to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and good construction practices. * Verify acceptable documentation of project testing, examination, and inspection requirements. Confirm appropriate disposition of any non-conformances identified during assembly. * Coordinate with client inspectors or vendor representatives for verification of installed equipment. * Advise the Instrument Supervisor on all construction testing requirements and work closely with them to ensure all project installations comply with drawings and specifications. * Provide or obtain design input for any site installation requiring rework or additional information. Implement field changes as required. * Develop complete data for back charges to manufacturers or subcontractors and submit to the Field Engineering Lead for processing. * Maintain a daily log documenting activities, events, progress, and issues encountered each working day. * Maintain and distribute drawings, specifications, and other engineering information required for erection in your area. * Create and issue punch lists as directed by the Area Lead Superintendent. * Conduct material and equipment inspections to ensure correctness of materials and functional compliance. * Support cost control by providing information on installed units. **What Makes You Stand Out?** At Wood, we are committed to equal opportunity and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team. It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world’s most critical challenges. **Expected Qualifications** * Graduate in Electronic Engineering, University Higher Technician, or related field * Minimum of 5 years of experience in: * Oil\&Gas and Mining sector projects * Civil inspections * Development of Basic and Detailed Engineering * Experience in oil, gas, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries * Understanding of project scheduling and its contractual/financial significance * Ability to read design drawings and specifications * Experience conducting field inspections and producing reports for various construction activities * Ability to multitask, solve problems, and actively contribute to achieving project team objectives with minimal supervision * Ability to follow safety and protection procedures * Work with integrity and adhere to established corporate ethics * Collaborate closely with the Construction E\&I Specialist regarding scheduling priorities and quality feedback * Provide reports to QA/QC Coordination regarding scheduling priorities and quality feedback * Ensure proper field execution through site presence and observation, in accordance with technical plans and specifications * Report any issues arising (related to employee relations, safety, and quality) to management * Supervise and manage subcontracted work as required * Perform other related duties as assigned by management Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
