Dow has an opportunity for a Scheduling Manager located in Bahia Blanca \- ARG. Acts as a technical resource for Scheduling within the Global Turnaround work process. Supports establishment of the overall schedule baseline and reporting to monitor and control the project within established tolerances of the baseline supporting efficient project execution. Coordinates data inputs from the various disciplines and functions to ensure accurate forecasts and reporting of schedule. Engages the turnaround steering team to understand causes of the deviation and the need to establish actions to mitigate, where deviations from established tolerances occur. Requires in\-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. Responsibilities:* Promotes discipline knowledge exchange and quality application through technical coaching. * Contributes to improvement of Schedule Management Work Process and leveraging of learning experiences. * Provides recommendations on cycle time reduction opportunities and techniques, as applied to scheduling. * Develops schedule management plans for turnaround plans for management and control. * Develops conceptual schedules to evaluate various alternates or anticipated schedule challenges. * Develops and maintains comprehensive integrated master project schedules including Front\-end Loading, Detail Design, Procurement, Construction and Start\-up/Commissioning Project Stages. * Maintains schedule during the project life cycle monitoring progress and incorporating modifications where changes in the original scope occur or delays are encountered. * Utilizes project cost estimates to resource load project schedules and gain alignment with estimated scope of work and the project schedule. * Performs staffing density checks or staffing limitation checks to validate schedule durations and ensures resource\-leveling supports the project strategy. * Leads project teams in forecasting schedule challenges and offers analyses and solutions to complete the project on schedule. * Performs critical path analysis to determine problem areas in regards to project schedule and resource overloads and offers alternative courses of action to the project team. * Evaluates project deviations to assess schedule impact for proper decision making and recovery plans. * Works with cost management to gain alignment when forecasting schedule completion dates. * Applies established schedule management practices to ascertain critical schedule issues and recommend corrective actions. * Defines comprehensive Schedule Management solutions for capital and expense projects. Dow has an opportunity for a Supply Chain Scheduling Specialist located in Bahia Blanca – Argentina. About this role: Decides what, when and where to supply for multiple production sites or multiple plants at one site, within a single business or multiple smaller businesses. Balances supply and demand over the operational horizon, to achieve optimum product availability, asset utilization and supply chain efficiencies. In this role, you will require conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding. It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance impacts your own work with limited impact on your team. You will need to use established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. Responsibilities:* Generates a time\-phased supply schedule to fulfill business requirements in the short\-term, while considering plant wide constraints, and meeting inventory and customer service targets. * Determines and/or executes the most effective regional or global sourcing rules. * Where applicable, implements external manufacturing agreements or executes agreements already in place. * Owns and operates site or regional planning models (provides functional expertise for model operation; assures most efficient use of information technology). * Serves as a local site coordinator/planner for integration of internal demand, utilities or environmental operations at a particular location. * Routinely checks and tracks inventory quantity, slow\-moving or other inventory statuses and ensures that inventory volumes meet the plan. * Identifies, prioritizes and addresses supply issues (e.g. short\-term capacity constraints, product shortage, emergency customer order received, uncovered production requirement, etc.). * Leads collaboration with customer service, manufacturing, logistics, third\-party service providers and business partners to meet business obligations in case of unplanned events * Ensures proper maintenance of production parameters (material masters, work centers, routings) to ensure effective planning. * Follows best practices, procedures and governance over master data. * Supports global supply chain initiatives by interfacing with other supply chain personnel in the business and shared services. Qualifications* University Degree, preferably Industrial/Chemical Engineering. * The critical competencies required for success are: interpersonal effectiveness, understanding customer needs, team work, taking initiative, problem solving skills, technical proficiency in use of computer applications and analytical skills. * Advanced English Skills. * Logistics and planning experience.
