This job requisition is to convert Diana Perez How You Will Contribute: * Provide expert\-level technical leadership and problem resolution * Drive architectural improvements and strategic initiatives * Lead major incident response and post\-incident reviews * Develop and implement automation solutions * Mentor and develop technical capabilities across the NOC team Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Expert\-Level Troubleshooting \& Strategic Incident Management: * Resolve multifaceted technical issues involving advanced optical architectures, including fixed/flexible grid networks, coherent optics, and high\-capacity interconnect systems. * Lead major incident investigations and post\-mortem reviews; design and implement long\-term solution strategies. * Manage network rollouts, migrations, and the integration of new equipment, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal service disruption. System Design \& Process Innovation: * Develop and deploy automation scripts and tools (e.g., Python) to enhance operational efficiency. Leadership \& Mentorship: * Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to Tier 1 and Tier 2 analysts. * Act as a liaison between technical teams and senior management to drive strategic decisions and process improvements. * Demonstrate leadership through clear communication (excellent presentation and soft skills) and the ability to manage unattended projects with a proactive approach. Technical Contributions \& Innovation: * Influence the future of the organization's optical technology strategy through research, recommendations, and pilot projects. Experience and Assets: Required Experience: * BS/B\-Tech/BE in Electronics, Telecommunication, or related fields. * 5\+ years of experience in network operations or similar technical role * Deep understanding of network architectures and protocols * Extensive experience with enterprise monitoring systems * Proven track record of leading major incident resolutions * Strong background in automation and scripting * Experience with capacity planning and performance optimization Knowledge/Abilities: * Expertise in optical technology and architecture (e.g., Long haul, Ultra Long haul, Submarine cable systems, CDC), along with a strong grasp of network migration, rollouts, and L2/L3 DCN planning. * Understanding of Ethernet technologies, and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and ISIS. Assets: * Advanced certifications and proven experience in managing complex optical network projects. * Excellent English, written and verbal, with demonstrable advanced customer service and presentation skills.
