The objective is to **prevent incidents**, **reduce risks**, and **promote a culture of safety and sustainability**. **MAIN OBJECTIVES WILL BE:** * Unify SHE standards between both operations * Ensure compliance with regulations (local, provincial, and national regulations regarding safety, health, and environment) * Risk management: Identify hazards, assess risks, and establish controls to prevent accidents, occupational illnesses, and environmental damage * Training and awareness: Design and implement employee training programs on safe practices, emergency response, and sustainability * Audits and follow-up: Conduct internal and external audits, manage regulatory inspections, and ensure closure of findings * Incident investigation **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:** * Responsible for supporting the regular review of applicable local legislation regarding Occupational Safety and Health, as well as internal standards. Verify compliance with Unilever’s internal SHE standards across the entire site. * In charge of establishing effective Safety and Health inspection programs capable of detecting Unsafe Conditions and Actions, and health risks to employees that could lead to Significant Impacts * Participate in SHE committees and actively engage in events/meetings aimed at raising awareness on SHE-related issues * Support site area managers in the implementation, execution, verification, and review of the SHE Framework Standards and UMS Safety Pillar * Manage industrial relations within the area under their responsibility * Provide resources to support programs defined by the IMS * Manage personnel reporting to this role * Support change situations that may directly or indirectly impact Occupational Safety and Health aspects. EMOC analysis * Coordinate the establishment of defenses and/or control measures for all activities where risks to Occupational Safety and Health have been identified. This includes: work instructions, systems for the acquisition and/or use of substances, goods, equipment, and services * Compliance with Unilever-specific standards applicable to the site. Identification and procedures for handling hazardous materials. Safe vehicle driving procedures * Support the development of Emergency Action Plans properly linked to identified risks, adequately documented, periodically reviewed, and practiced in a timely manner * Support ensuring the proper functioning of all elements intended for emergency situations. This includes: firefighting equipment, first aid supplies, communication devices, etc. * Participate in complete or partial internal audits of implemented management systems * Actively participate in: Investigation of injuries and occupational diseases, environmental incidents, and non-conformities. Reporting serious incidents to Unilever. Taking actions to mitigate any consequences arising from these events. Establishing and monitoring corrective and preventive actions.
