




Job Summary: We are seeking an RPG AS/400 Developer with experience in development, analysis and design, maintenance, testing, and documentation of applications. Key Highlights: 1. Provide guidance to junior developers At ADN – Human Resources, we are looking for an RPG AS/400 Developer / Remote for a major company. Requirements: - At least four years of experience. - Education: University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (preferred). - Solid experience developing COBOL applications in AS/400 environments. - In-depth knowledge of RPG IV and ILE RPG Free Format. - Familiarity with relational databases, preferably DB2. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities: Application Development: - Lead the development of complex applications using RPG and other related technologies in AS/400 environments. - Design and write efficient, sustainable code, ensuring application scalability and optimal performance. Analysis and Design: - Collaborate with systems analysts and other team members to understand user requirements and design effective solutions. - Contribute to system architectural design by applying best practices and development patterns. Maintenance and Optimization: - Perform ongoing maintenance of existing applications, identifying and resolving potential issues. - Optimize application performance by implementing improvements and updates as needed. Testing and Quality Assurance: - Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure functionality and software quality. - Develop and execute unit and integration tests to validate application stability and reliability. Documentation: - Maintain complete and up-to-date technical documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications. - Collaborate on technical documentation to facilitate code maintenance and understanding. Collaboration and Training: - Collaborate with other developers and cross-functional teams. - Provide guidance and training to more junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
