This is **not a highly technical role**—success depends on **personality, reliability, professional communication**, and the ability to **learn quickly**. The Scheduler is responsible for matching caregivers and babysitters to open client shifts, responding quickly to backup care requests, and ensuring consistent service coverage across **South and North Austin** locations. This role is ideal for someone who prefers **afternoon/evening hours** and is comfortable working in a **fast‑paced, dynamic environment** where priorities can change rapidly. Key Responsibilities Scheduling \& Backup Care * Monitor and respond to incoming backup care requests from **Bright Horizons, Care.com, and Vivi**. * ⏱ **Response within 10 minutes of notification is critical**. * Match available caregivers or babysitters to open shifts based on skills, availability, and client needs. * Manage two scheduling approaches: * **Week‑by‑week scheduling** (South Austin – backup‑care driven) * **30‑day advance scheduling** (North Austin – private‑pay, recurring clients) * Proactively fill open shifts and resolve last‑minute cancellations or call‑outs. * Coordinate caregiver placements across two service lines: * **Senior caregiving** * **Backup childcare / babysitting** Communication * Serve as the primary point of contact for caregivers and clients regarding scheduling matters. * Communicate professionally and promptly via **phone and email**. * Notify clients and caregivers of any scheduling changes in a timely manner. * Escalate unresolved issues to the franchise owner when necessary. Required Skills \& Qualifications * Professional verbal and written communication skills (phone and email). * Strong reliability, consistency, and accountability. * Ability and **desire to learn**—this role is straightforward and fully trainable. * Comfortable working independently during **afternoon/evening hours**. * Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate scheduling software. Preferred (Nice to Have) * Prior experience in scheduling, administrative, or customer service roles. * Familiarity with **homecare, childcare, or staffing environments**. * Experience with scheduling platforms such as **Access Care, ClearCare, WellSky, or similar**. Training \& ExperienceNo prior homecare or scheduling experience is required. Full training will be provided by the Solvo Operations Team.
