The **Supply Chain** **Material Planner** is responsible for overseeing end‑to‑end material planning activities to ensure consistent availability of materials that support production, operations, and customer delivery requirements. This role drives inventory accuracy, optimizes planning processes, and collaborates closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse and other Materials Management teams to meet service, cost, and quality targets. The position also ensures compliance with established Materials Management policies and guidelines and drives the adoption of improved processes when necessary. **Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:** * Execute MRP\-driven material planning for various projects, analyzing ERP demand data to generate accurate Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders. * Manage Purchase Order adjustments, including cancellations, modifications, and the creation of rework Purchase Orders as needed. * Conduct excess inventory analysis and coordinate with the warehouse for the availability of excess inventory, aiming to minimize excess stock and reduce liability. * Engage in negotiations with suppliers for quick buys to address urgent requirements while controlling costs. * Take ownership for PO dates in ERP and maintain system accuracy to reflect current material statuses. * Review and adjust material schedules by working closely with suppliers to execute pull\-ins, pushouts, rev changes and cancellations to support changing enterprise and project needs. * Follow up with suppliers concerning material shortages that affect production, minimizing impact on manufacturing schedules. * Proactively manage suppliers where delivery dates are at risk by escalating within the supplier organization to identify and evaluate opportunities to improve deliveries and ensure on\-time material arrival. * Contact suppliers to swiftly resolve price, delivery, and invoice issues, ensuring smooth transactions and maintaining strong supplier relationships. * Take ownership of reconciling and researching past due invoices to ensure timely payments and resolve any outstanding financial discrepancies. * Collaborate closely with AP for discrepancy in invoices, payment\-related topics, and reconciliation to streamline financial processes. **We would like you to:** * Advanced level of English (spoken and written) – mandatory * Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field plus 3 years of work experience in a supply chain or a master’s degree, preferably within a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Familiarity with MRP systems; SAP experience preferred. * Advanced proficiency in MS Excel. * Highly skilled at building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Important: This role reports directly to a client located in Sacramento, California.
