This opportunity is located in Capital Federal, Argentina. **The Role** Wood is seeking a **Senior 3D Electrical Designer**, with over 12 years of experience. The position will be based in Capital Federal, Argentina. We are looking for a technically proficient professional with solid experience in preparing technical drawings within their area of specialization, based on sketches or general engineering and design information, in accordance with established standards and procedures. **Our Clients and Projects Designing the future. We offer a full range of engineering and project management services and are leading integrators in the refinery and petrochemical facilities market, driving innovation in sustainable fuels and advanced materials for the energy transition. **What We Offer** * Meaningful and interesting projects delivered to industry leaders in the Process and Chemicals sector. * Flexible work arrangements that balance client, team, and individual needs. * Commitment to diversity and inclusion across our organization, supported by employee networks dedicated to giving voice to all employees. * Flexible benefits package adaptable to your lifestyle. * Commitment to continuous professional development through personalized development plans. * Global connections with industry-leading experts. **Responsibilities** * Prepare technical drawings in accordance with company and industry standards and codes, based on equipment specifications, as well as detailed drawings to expedite the completion of engineering deliverables. * Prepare drawings involving layouts, designs, calculations, and material lists. * Perform assigned tasks involving a variety of design procedures and techniques. * Record observations, perform calculations, and prepare reports on assigned tasks. * Perform designs, drawings, and verification work based on provided basic data. * Design and produce detailed drawings from sketches involving complex calculations and application of fundamental engineering principles. * Establish project design standards and monitor compliance. * Identify cost-effective solutions to design problems. * Assist in preparing bid evaluations. * Design and build models, prototypes, processes, or equipment; collect and evaluate data, make recommendations, and prepare reports. * Prepare time, quantity, material, and labor estimates required for testing, installation, fabrication, design, or construction activities. * Generate material lists from finalized designs. * At higher experience levels, may act as coordinator on small projects and prepare specifications for complex equipment, processes, etc. * Ensure design quality, technical accuracy in drawing preparation, material quantities, etc., including review of work performed by others at higher levels. * Effectively plan assigned work and obtain/provide information in coordination with the project team and line manager, adhering to schedules to control man-hours and achieve objectives. * Conduct site visits/supervision and contribute to site visit reports. **What Makes You Extraordinary?** At Wood, we are committed to equal opportunity and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team. It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world’s most critical challenges. **Requirements:** * Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline. * Electrical designer with over 5 years’ experience designing electrical facilities for the oil and gas industry; knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and 3D modeling. * AutoCAD. **Knowledge, Skills and Experience:** * Knowledge of related engineering principles and practices, plus diversified training and experience in the field of activity. * Ability to interpret key documents, including: engineering standards, piping material specifications, P&IDs, and line lists. * Technical orientation, with mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and talent for translating intangible concepts into practical project plans. * Competent user of AutoCAD software. **Personal Attributes:** * Enjoys applying complex theoretical principles in practical settings. * Self-motivated and completes assigned tasks to improve overall team performance. * Willing to take on new tasks and learn new technical topics/skills. * Continuously develops own knowledge and skills. * Solution-oriented, logical, and methodical. * Strong attention to detail. * Good communicator.
