We are looking for a **Maintenance & Operations (O&M) Technician** to join our team in the **province of Salta, Argentina**. As a **Maintenance & Operations (O&M) Technician**, you will perform operation and maintenance tasks specific to the Thermal Power Plant, working rotating shifts in compliance with customer and company standards, and executing planned and operational contingency maintenance tasks during your shift. **Key Responsibilities:*** Operate and maintain the plant during your shift, adhering to customer and company standards. * Carry out operational tasks and assist the Shift Supervisor. * Follow all procedures and instructions related to start\-up, shut\-down, and normal operation of the plant and its auxiliary equipment. * Complete and update all operational records (checklists, energy produced) clearly and concisely. * Provide assistance during corrective actions triggered by grid disturbances. * Communicate effectively the status of all equipment comprising the plant, as well as any deviations/disturbances from normal conditions, to the Shift Supervisor. * Monitor alarm states / parameters of engines and their auxiliaries; interpret and analyze, together with the Shift Supervisor, data trends related to equipment parameters during the shift. * Comply with all safety regulations, including lockout/tagout of equipment, energy sources, and execution of emergency procedures to protect personnel and machinery in case of failures or safety device malfunctions. * Assist in the operation and maneuvering of all equipment constituting the plant. * Conduct operational inspection routines to detect potential repair and/or adjustment needs. * Generate work orders (WOs) for the maintenance team. * Comply with regulatory requirements and manage cybersecurity and energy aspects during plant operation activities. **Requirements:*** Technician (chemical, mechanical, electrical or electromechanical) holding a diploma issued by a Technical Education School * Experience in operation and maintenance tasks at continuous-service power generation or production plants * Experience with generator sets (desirable) * Knowledge of maintenance management systems * Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (Quality, Safety and Environment) * Prior experience working at height and on rotating shifts * Native Spanish speaker (mandatory) * Basic English proficiency (desirable) * Proficiency in MS Office * Basic knowledge of plant operation software (WOIS) Last application date: 30/04/2026 At Wärtsilä we value, respect and embrace all our differences, and are committed to diversity, inclusion and equal employment opportunities; everyone can be their true self and succeed based on their job\-relevant merits and abilities.
