Wood expresses its interest in hiring a Document Control Specialist to work on engineering projects to join the Process and Chemicals business unit. This opportunity is based in Wood's offices in Mendoza The overall objective is to verify documentarily that the system is designed and constructed to fulfill its purpose and specific requirements. Provides commissioning technical information to the design process to ensure that commissioning and operational safety are considered in the design and that all phases of initial start-up (including unique special procedures) are adequately covered in the design. Specifically, defining systems and the sequence of system delivery, and ensuring that pre-commissioning of process units has been considered. * Provides technical information to ensure safe and orderly handover of the facility/plant from the construction contractor to the owner or operator, demonstrating operability in terms of performance, reliability, safety, and information traceability. * Works with engineers and vendors during design phases to align delivery and commissioning activities. * Participates in design workshops that may assist in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities. * Attends risk reviews and P&ID model reviews. * Reviews cause and effect diagrams and spare parts lists. * Prepares and presents commissioning records documentation (close-out) during the project, according to the documentation plan. * Preparation of project documentation, including pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures. * Creates and executes test procedures. * Troubleshoots, investigates issues, and diagnoses and repairs faults. * Supervises certain site commissioning activities as appropriate, including P&ID verification (system check/walkdown/punch), mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, cold commissioning (dry/wet), hot commissioning. * Assists and participates in pre-startup safety reviews with the client and construction contractor (and PMC and licensor as applicable). * Interacts with operations teams during commissioning, start-up, and final handover of the facility/plant. * Acts as a positive role model for health, safety, and environment (HSE) behavior on site. * Adequate level of experience in commissioning within the relevant industrial sector. * Good general computer literacy. * Fully familiar with technical knowledge of the discipline. * Proven experience in interpreting discipline documentation. * Ability to monitor work progress and report against plan. * Very good organizational and communication skills. * Sound judgment and reasoning ability. * Ability to think methodically and solve problems. * Good time management and ability to multitask; capable of maintaining an overview of multiple project elements while managing day-to-day activities. * Ability to drive cultural change when necessary. * Confidence to work under pressure, able to adapt quickly to deal with unexpected issues. * Uphold Wood's values and behaviors Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
