Finning, Caterpillar’s strategic partner and leader in equipment distribution and services, is seeking top talent to fill the role of Mechanical Technician at its Mendoza branch. The Mechanical Technician is responsible for diagnosing major components and systems, as well as performing comprehensive repairs, coordinating work execution. Work is performed either in the workshop or on-site as required. The technician supports the supervisor and may make decisions of moderate responsibility. Key responsibilities include: Placing spare parts orders. Using and operating electronic tools. Evaluating, calibrating, and adjusting key engine components and electrical systems. Testing and diagnosing machine issues, including AT1 and AT2 (visual, technical, and operational inspections). Removing and installing all types of components. Operating and inspecting machines after repair. Making critical adjustments to the machine and its systems. Installing new components and additional accessories. Requirements: Technical education at secondary or higher level, with specialization in automotive mechanics, electronics, or electricity. Minimum 3 years’ experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
