You will solve supply chain issues that impact everyone: a smoke-free world. **Your 'day-to-day'...** * Comply with, promote, and foster adherence to standards, policies, and requirements established by PMI and Management Systems (Quality, EHS, OPEN\+ and any others the company defines for implementation). * Actively participate in defining actions, proposing improvements, and following up on topics defined for continuous improvement within areas and the aforementioned systems. * Ensure proper interpretation of quality requirements for products and processes, as well as generation and distribution of corresponding specifications to all involved personnel, in compliance with methods and frequencies required by PMI and/or the client. * Plan, coordinate, and supervise tasks of the team in charge, promoting collaboration and optimization of resources to ensure correct application and compliance with PMI and customer standards. * Verify that methods and frequencies used for sampling and testing are appropriate; based on this, distribute and coordinate tasks for operators under supervision to guarantee optimal resource utilization. * Ensure timely recording and availability of quality information generated by the department for all relevant stakeholders as required by PMI and/or the client. Prepare reports and/or analyses applicable to the department requested by internal and/or external clients. * Ensure that equipment, instruments, and measurement standards in the department are properly calibrated and set to guarantee reliability of measurements performed. The candidate must have strong and proven communication skills targeted to the goals of the role.*Responsibilities* Permitting and Land:* Support the permitting and land acquisition activities associated with the Taca Taca Project and further mine development. * Develop permitting analysis, matrices, and permit applications, including the preparation and review of technical documents in line with applicable regulations, business standards, and Company policies. * Support and collaborate with the technical areas of the project from an environmental and permitting perspective during field campaigns. * Interact with relevant government authorities and other stakeholders involved in the approvals and authorizations of permits and lands. * Coordinate and participate in technical meetings associated with permitting and land activities. * Provide support to technical audits (internal, government, others). * Report progress on the status of permits and/or land acquisition. * Prepare internal and external reports associated with permitting and land activities. * Prepare permitting schedules and timelines. Environmental:* Implement environmental management plans in mining projects. * Maintain and monitor weather stations (data download, database management, technical service of the stations). * Enter information and update the environmental aspects database (flow meters, water, soil, waste analysis). * Support in the preparation of environmental reports. * Collaborate with the preparation, updates, and modifications of EIAs (Environmental Impact Studies) required for the construction and subsequent operation of the project. * Coordinate workshops for authorities on current, modified, or new EIAs. * Continuously review the EIA requirements of the Taca Taca project at each stage of its development. * Coordinate field activities derived from daily operations on\-site in compliance with EIA commitments and applicable regulations and standards. * Control environmental databases required for the project's operability and compliance from an environmental perspective. * Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. Qualifications Required:* Environmental engineering, mining engineering, geology, or related fields. * Preferred Master's or postgraduate degree in Environmental Management. Experience \& Skills Required:* Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with particular experience in mining. * Fluency in Spanish and English \- written and spoken. * Experience in EIA preparation, audits, and Environmental Management and Compliance Systems. * Experience working in the field and remote sites. * Experience working with highly technical documents (drawings, reports, etc.) associated with mining in its exploration, feasibility, construction, commissioning, and operation phases. * Knowledge and familiarity with local legislation and international business standards applicable to mining from an environmental perspective. * MS Office. * Project planning software and data analytics. * Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). * Driver’s license. * Ability to work collaboratively with various work teams. The GIS Advisor plays a critical role in integrating spatial information with environmental data, enabling the team to gain valuable insights into environmental patterns and trends. In charge of geomatics using a Geographic information System interface with the environmental database of different variables such water quality, hydrology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, air quality, biodiversity, land use,land cover and property \& mineral rights.
