Ideal for those who prefer responsibility over instructions **Operations Coordinator, Founder\-Facing, Remote** Location: Remote (Latin America preferred) Compensation: $1,800–$2,500 USD per month, depending on experience Full\-time, long\-term role About the Role We operate a small restaurant group in the U.S. This is not a tech company. The work is people\-heavy, operationally noisy, time\-sensitive, and recurring. This role exists to remove work from the owner’s plate by taking half\-formed ideas and turning them into finished outcomes without constant direction. If you need detailed instructions, frequent check\-ins, or reassurance, this role will not work. What You Will Own * Managing and responding to customer communications across email, reviews, and social platforms * Tracking permits, licenses, and compliance items so nothing slips * Coordinating hiring workflows, including sourcing, screening, and interview scheduling * Turning vague priorities into task lists, timelines, and follow\-through * Closing loops with vendors, contractors, and internal team members * Reducing operational noise before it reaches the owner You are expected to decide what matters first and act. Examples of Problems You Will Be Expected to Handle * A customer leaves a negative Google review and emails the store the same day. You resolve it and close the loop without the owner stepping in. * A permit or license deadline is approaching and no one is sure who owns it. You figure it out and ensure compliance. * The owner mentions “we need a GM” in passing. You turn that into a defined hiring process and keep it moving. * Vendors are emailing multiple people and creating noise. You centralize communication and reduce interruptions. * Issues repeat across locations. You surface patterns and propose fixes instead of handling each one ad hoc. What This Role Is Not * Not an executive assistant role * Not a task\-only VA role * Not customer service only * Not a tech or automation job * Not a restaurant floor role Who This Is For You may be a fit if you: * Have operated in messy environments without clear ownership * Are comfortable making decisions without permission * Can prioritize under pressure * Close loops instead of escalating everything * Prefer responsibility over instructions Backgrounds that work: operations coordinator, assistant manager (hospitality or retail), project manager, recruiting coordinator, or founder’s right\-hand at a small company.
