We are currently seeking a WELDER OPERATOR to work at our headquarters in RIO TERCERO, Córdoba, Argentina. **Responsibilities** --------------------- * Apply organizational principles, values, and management policies within the scope of their activities * Continuously seek improvements in their area of expertise to keep processes up-to-date and competitive * Comply with established occupational safety procedures * Maintain a clean and organized workplace * Perform assembly tasks (tack welding) and welding on low/medium complexity assemblies and subassemblies according to production schedule * Operate overhead cranes as required for production * Complete or follow up on manufacturing orders within the department * Conduct general inspection of the condition of equipment prior to use * Perform tasks using angle grinders and straight grinders (Turbinetas) * Identify different types of abrasive discs and select the appropriate one based on the task * Use of torch, which is used in certain areas requiring preheating operations, such as cylinders, rods, pivots, columns, among others * Perform visual inspection of welded components, verifying quality requirements * Properly use PPE, work instructions, checklists, and other relevant documents **Competencies** ---------------- * Completed secondary school or technical education, preferably in metallurgy or mechatronics * Experience in welding or related tasks * Ability to adjust welding power sources * Training in welding-related topics and/or applicable procedures for the role * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings * Understanding of welding symbols * Metrology knowledge * GMAW welding process * Welding qualification * Identification of welding defects * Knowledge of welding symbols * Differentiation between discontinuities and defects * Component assembly – tack welding * Basic knowledge of workplace safety * Proficiency in hand tools (angle grinder / straight grinder / torch) * Knowledge of best practices when using manual grinders * Ability to perform effectively in a fixed work position while having foundational knowledge applicable to similar components; versatile across multiple workstations **What we offer** ----------------- * The opportunity to join the rapidly growing PALFINGER family * Competitive compensation package * Friendly and proactive team environment * Training * Development Interested in the position or have any questions?
