Food Preparation: Washing and peeling fruits and vegetables - Chopping and dicing ingredients - Preparing basic sauces, dressings, or simple doughs - Organizing containers at the workstation so the head chef has everything within easy reach. 2. Maintenance and Cleaning: Washing dishes, cutlery, and glassware Consistently cleaning work areas, countertops, and cutting boards to prevent cross-contamination. Keeping the floor clean and free of debris during service. Removing trash and recycling waste according to venue regulations. 3. Receiving and Stock Management Receiving supplier deliveries, verifying that quantities and quality match delivery notes. Reporting shortages to prevent stockouts. 4. Service Support During peak hours, the assistant may assist with: Basic plating: Placing garnishes or final decorative elements.
