As a **Staff Software Engineer**, you will play a central role in the organization's technical evolution, acting not only in code development but also as a technical reference influencing architecture, product, and business decisions. You will work side by side with engineering, product, and business leaders, helping define the medium- and long-term technological direction while ensuring our solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with the company’s strategy. ### **The Scope of Your Challenge** * Define, develop, and evolve complex microservices-based architectures, guaranteeing scalability, security, and resilience in cloud environments (primarily AWS). * Translate strategic business objectives into high-impact technical solutions. * Anticipate bottlenecks and technical risks, proposing solutions that support long-term growth. * Influence the selection of technologies, standards, and processes across a Tiendanube tribe. * Serve as a technical reference and mentor other engineers, promoting engineering best practices and elevating the team’s technical level. * Ensure observability, monitoring, and scalability of production solutions, with a long-term engineering mindset. * Lead architectural and technical reviews that go beyond the boundaries of a single team, positively impacting the entire platform. ### **What We’re Looking For** * Hands-on profile with solid backend development experience using any of these languages: PHP, Java, Scala, Node (or strong interest in learning this stack). * Solid experience in distributed systems architecture, microservices, and cloud solutions. * Experience leading high-impact technical initiatives involving multiple teams or areas. * Deep knowledge of engineering practices and patterns ( **DDD, TDD, clean architecture, design patterns, clean code** ). * Ability to influence and align both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Proactive profile with systemic vision and pragmatism to find simple solutions to complex problems. * Strong connection between technology, product, and business. * Experience with agile methodologies and large-scale collaborative work. ### **Our Process** We want you to have the best possible experience throughout our selection process.
