Our printing department operates with **gravure** technology to ensure the best results for our global customers. We are seeking to hire a technically skilled **Gravure Printer/Operator** with strong attention to detail. We are looking for a professional to fully operate and manage our **gravure printing presses**, specialized in printing plastic films and laminates. Key Responsibilities: * **Setup and Mounting:** Perform mounting and dismounting of **printing cylinders** (engraved), adjusting configurations according to production orders. * **Fine Tuning:** Calibrate the **doctor blade** system and ink chambers to ensure optimal ink transfer and accurate color depth. * **Ink Management:** Prepare and maintain **ink viscosity** (primarily solvent-based) using viscometers, ensuring consistency and colorimetric control throughout the entire print run. * **Quality Control:** Maintain perfect **registration** and consistent color at high speeds. Inspect and correct gravure-specific defects (missing dots, smudging, etc.). * **Preventive Maintenance:** Carry out thorough cleaning of the machine, inking systems, and cylinders after job completion. Essential Requirements * **Proven Experience:** Minimum **5 years of experience** as a Gravure Printer/Operator on continuous-line **gravure presses**. * **Packaging Focus:** **Mandatory** experience printing on flexible packaging substrates (BOPP, PET, Polyester, Aluminum, etc.). * **Ink Knowledge:** In-depth knowledge of **solvent-based inks** and viscosity control. * **Problem Solving:** Ability to diagnose and correct quality issues related to the gravure process (static, streaks, doctor blade problems). * **Availability:** **Required** to work **rotating shifts** and flexibility to work overtime as production demands. * **Education:** Preferably holds a technical degree in Graphic Arts, Printing, or related field.
