In this role, you'll design and manage robust, scalable **semantic/tabular models** in Power BI and help build complex dashboards that drive decision\-making across the organization. This is a hands\-on role with strong stakeholder interaction, ideal for someone who loves turning business questions into elegant, high\-performance BI models and data products. **Key Responsibilities** **Power BI Semantic Modeling \& Performance** * Design, build, and optimize **Power BI datasets/semantic models** using best practices in dimensional modeling, DAX, and performance tuning. * Manage relationships, hierarchies, calculated tables, measures, and **Row\-Level Security (RLS)**. * Ensure datasets follow modeling standards and governance rules for consistency and maintainability. * Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to model design and complex DAX. * Monitor dataset usage/health and propose continuous improvements based on feedback and adoption patterns. **Layered Architecture \& Reusability** * Support a layered Power BI approach (e.g., **dataflows datasets reports**) to maximize reusability and scalability. * Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure clean, efficient upstream data structures and flows from sources like **Azure Data Lake, Synapse, SQL DB, Databricks**. **Collaboration \& Delivery Excellence** * Partner with Business Analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable models. * Conduct peer reviews and contribute to BI modeling delivery standards. * Share knowledge and mentor peers on Power BI modeling best practices. * Work in Agile cycles, contributing to iterative delivery and roadmap alignment. ✅ **Must\-Have Qualifications** * Proven experience as a **Power BI Modeller, BI Developer, or Data Analyst**, with strong focus on semantic model design. * Advanced expertise in **Power BI Desktop \& Service** and data modeling concepts (star/snowflake, normalized vs. denormalized). * Strong command of **DAX**, including complex measures and calculated columns. * Solid experience with **Power BI dataflows, shared datasets, composite models**, and complex dashboards. * Deep understanding of Power BI **performance optimization** (model size, storage modes: Import/DirectQuery/Hybrid). * Familiarity with **Azure data services** as BI sources (Data Lake, Synapse, SQL DB, etc.). * Experience with **version control (Git)** and CI/CD pipelines for Power BI deployments (Azure DevOps/related). * Excellent communication skills to work confidently across technical and business teams. * Strong awareness of data governance, security, and compliance in Power BI environments. ✨ **Nice\-to\-Have** * Knowledge of **dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and ETL** concepts. * Experience with **Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint forms/lists**. * Exposure to other BI tools (Tableau, Looker, SSAS Tabular). * Microsoft / Power BI or Data Platform certifications. **Why Join This Project?** Build semantic models that power one of the most impactful industrial analytics environments in LATAM.
