We are at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, produce, and deliver products vital to life. **Purpose and Impact of the Role** ----------------------------------- The Electrical and Instrumentation Automation Engineer will apply technical knowledge to design, develop, and maintain overall governance over standards, applications, gaps, solutions, and measurements to improve production quality, efficiency, and volume for the business. In this role, you will perform daily activities related to automation, electrical, and instrumentation engineering to enable projects and enhance our capabilities by providing engineering support to the organization. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------- * Support, analyze, and draw conclusions regarding areas for improvement, identify opportunities to enhance performance, and determine acceptable risk tolerance. * Support senior team members in evaluating opportunities for development and application of automation, electrical, and instrumentation engineering, as well as broader deployment across common practice areas. * Implement, monitor, and track audit control mechanisms within the scope area to track performance and provide actionable solutions contributing to improvements. * Monitor and support progress of low- to medium-complexity projects, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and portfolio prioritization. * Execute and support automation, electrical, and instrumentation engineering standards and deliverables in capital projects. * Coordinate and provide direct support and service delivery for an operation. * Apply general knowledge of principles, terminology, and practices of automation, electrical, and instrumentation engineering to support the design and construction of safe and reliable operations. * Independently resolve moderately complex problems with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate personnel. * Other assigned duties \#LI\-Onsite \#LI\-JG2 **Qualifications** ------------------ Minimum Qualifications * Minimum of two years of related work experience * Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electronic engineering or related field. Preferred Qualifications * Strong technical and mathematical skills * Intermediate project management skills * Demonstrated practical knowledge of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques * Experience coordinating third-party resources to deliver business outcomes. * Experience in development, configuration, and commissioning of control systems based on platforms such as Modicon (Unity Pro / EcoStruxure Control Expert). * Proficiency with platforms (AVEVA InTouch, Vijeo Designer) for industrial process monitoring and control. * Design, configuration, and maintenance of industrial LAN networks, including segmentation, IP addressing, and basic security (Hirschmann Hi Vision, RSNetwork/RSLinx). * Understanding of concepts related to servers, network services (DNS, DHCP, etc.), and databases (SQL Server, Historian, etc.) * Experience with industrial data acquisition and analysis software, especially OSIsoft PI System (PI Server, PI Vision, PI DataLink). * Knowledge and practical experience with protocols such as Modbus (RTU/TCP), OPC (DA/UA), DeviceNet, among others.
