Description

Summary: This role involves contributing to the development and optimization of firmware for advanced hardware and high-speed networking systems within a global cloud infrastructure. Highlights: 1. Contribute to technologies with direct, global impact in high-speed networking. 2. Collaborate with world-class experts in innovation and cross-functional teams. 3. Gain experience in testing, debugging, and incremental firmware development. About Marvell Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities. At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead. Your Team, Your Impact The Firmware teams at Marvell develop the technology that enables the world’s fastest networks to operate with efficiency, reliability, and scale. From digital signal processing to optical solutions and embedded platforms, these groups create the software and intelligence that connect global cloud infrastructures, data centers, and telecommunications systems used every day. Without these teams, Marvell would not be able to deliver high‑speed data transmission, optimize device performance, or ensure seamless integration between hardware and firmware in products used by hyperscalers and major telecom operators. Every day, the teams work on designing, implementing, validating, and optimizing firmware that powers advanced hardware, signal‑processing algorithms, and next‑generation optical and electronic components. Joining these groups means contributing to technologies that have direct, global impact. Projects blend innovation, quality, and cross‑functional collaboration with world‑class experts, offering an experience that is difficult to find elsewhere in the industry. What You Can Expect* On‑site role depending on team needs. * Day‑to‑day work includes contributing to small firmware tasks, running tests, analyzing logs, and documenting results. * Close collaboration with firmware, hardware, validation, and systems engineers. * Regular check‑ins with your mentor and participation in small technical discussions. * Use of typical engineering tools such as code repositories, test scripts, and internal documentation. * Your work will support testing, debugging, and incremental development for products used in high‑speed networking systems. What We're Looking For* Students in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. * Less than five final exams or less than one year left to graduate. * Basic knowledge of programming (C/C\+\+ and/or Python). * Interest in embedded systems, firmware, or digital/embedded hardware concepts. * Ability to learn quickly and work with guidance from mentors. * Good communication skills to collaborate with engineers across different disciplines. * Familiarity with version control or technical documentation is a plus, but not required. Additional Compensation and Benefit Elements With competitive compensation and great benefits, you will enjoy our workstyle within an environment of shared collaboration, transparency, and inclusivity. We’re dedicated to giving our people the tools and resources they need to succeed in doing work that matters, and to grow and develop with us.
