




Job Summary: Join our Product Development team as a Python Cloud Software Engineer to participate in the full software product development lifecycle—from design through deployment—researching and integrating open-source components to build or enhance cloud products. Design and develop new functionalities in cloud products ### **Summary** Join our Product Development team as a **Python Cloud Software Engineer**, participating in the full product development lifecycle—from design through coding, testing, and software deployment. In this role, you will be challenged to research and integrate open-source software components to create or improve our cloud products, which are built on open-source frameworks. You will be part of a squad, working on new features and bug fixes for the squad’s associated product group. **This position is available for remote work from the following locations: Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, and Peru.** ### **Responsibilities** * Design and develop new functionalities. * Perform bug fixing on squad products. * Present progress updates and participate in team meetings. * Document development work, diagrams, and technical specifications. * Ensure the quality and clarity of delivered code. Depending on the squad you join, your tasks may focus on: **Platform Engineering** * Design and implement products enabling an open-source-based DevOps platform (e.g., Argo, GitLab). * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines. * Develop infrastructure configuration and deployment tools. **Cloud Infrastructure Engineering** * Design and implement cloud solutions using technologies such as Ceph and OpenStack. * Automate deployments using Ansible playbooks. * Collaborate with other teams on scalable cloud architectures. **Kubernetes Engineering** * Design, deploy, and manage cloud environments on Kubernetes. * Implement and maintain cluster management and application deployment tools (Docker, Helm). * Integrate monitoring, logging, authentication (SSO), and external storage solutions. ### **Requirements** **Education:** * Degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field. **Experience:** * Minimum 2–3 years of software development experience in Python. * Experience in software specification, design, and data structure. * Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in roles focused on development, administration, and automation of integration, deployment, and environment management processes. **Specific Knowledge / Technical Requirements:** * Intermediate Linux + Basic commands, file manipulation, networking, etc. + Experience with Shell scripting (Bash). * Use and creation of container images with Docker (intermediate). + Ability to create images using a Dockerfile + Understanding of the Docker container lifecycle * **2–3 years of software development experience with Python.** + **Basic Python knowledge** + **Knowledge of multithreading and Design Patterns** * Networking and network knowledge (VLAN, routing, firewall, etc.) + Understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, routing. + Understanding of basic networking concepts from a programming perspective (interfaces, sockets, ports, etc.) and experience with common protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, and REST. * Git: Intermediate level. + Familiarity with the standard workflow of add, commit, push. + Familiarity with more advanced commands such as rebase or cherry-pick. + Ability to resolve merge conflicts. * Infrastructure automation and configuration using Ansible. * Virtualization fundamentals (KVM) + Basic understanding of virtualization concepts (installation and configuration, VM management, integration with other technologies). * Databases: SQL and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).
