If you're exceptional at what you do and align with our core values: **Proactive Curiosity, Transparent Communication, Extreme Ownership,** and **Beyond Excellence**, we want to know you, so keep reading. If not, we're probably not the right fit, and that's okay. We're hiring a **Social Video Editor** to create short\-form content for our podcast brand **Breaking and Building Leaders** and our company brand **Knwn Local** on a full\-time, remote basis. We're scaling from one to two episodes per week, expanding our short\-form presence, and need someone who can transform long\-form gold into scroll\-stopping clips. **To apply now:** https://righteous\-chestnut\-b59\.notion.site/2e1353fd5db5815aa523ebb2aaadb01f?pvs\=105 **Role:** As a Social Video Editor focused on podcast and brand content, you will transform long\-form podcast episodes and company content into high\-impact short\-form clips that drive engagement, build authority, and grow our audience across YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and LinkedIn. You will work directly under our Content Lead alongside a high\-performing media team, identifying the moments that matter and crafting them into scroll\-stopping content. This role combines creative ownership with data\-driven iteration—turning conversations into clips that perform. **You're probably a fit if you:** * Get genuinely excited about finding the 60\-second moment in a 60\-minute conversation * Understand that pacing, hooks, and retention are skills—not luck * Care about data and performance insights, not just creative expression * Want to be part of a growing company where ownership and impact are real, not corporate buzzwords * Embrace "life first, business fills the gaps"—but bring intensity when you're on the clock **You're probably NOT a fit if you:** * Need constant direction or hand\-holding to do your best work * Treat feedback as criticism instead of fuel for growth * Are looking for "just a job" rather than something you can own * Chase trends without understanding why they work * Optimize for looking good over doing good work **Responsibilities:** **Content Creation \& Editing** * Edit 15\-25 short\-form videos per week from podcast episodes and long\-form content, maintaining consistent 48\-72 hour turnaround times * Identify the highest\-performing moments and craft them into must\-watch clips * Add subtitles, captions, and motion graphics to improve accessibility and engagement * Keep project files and asset management well\-organized and up\-to\-date * Maintain brand consistency across all content while keeping it fresh and platform\-native **Performance \& Optimization** * Analyze performance data to understand what's working and iterate accordingly (data collection, retention graphs, and post\-mortem reviews for continuous improvement) * Adapt editing style based on platform\-specific best practices (YouTube Shorts vs. Reels vs. TikTok) * Stay ahead of short\-form trends and experiment with new formats, transitions, and storytelling techniques * Conduct competitor analysis and trend research to stay ahead of platform algorithms and audience preferences **Collaboration \& Communication** * Communicate daily, promptly, and often. Report progress so we can maintain a seamless workflow * Work closely with the content team to execute a cohesive cross\-platform strategy * Communicate proactively—flag blockers early, ask smart questions, share insights * Respond to Slack messages within 4 hours during working hours; participate in weekly team syncs **Requirements:** **Technical Skills** * Expert proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci, or equivalent editing software * Strong eye for pacing, storytelling, and emotional beats * Experience with subtitles, captions, and basic motion graphics * Deep understanding of what performs on each platform (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn) **Experience** * 2\+ years editing short\-form content for social media * Proven track record of driving engagement—show us clips that performed * Bonus: Experience with podcast/interview content, leadership/business content, or real estate **Mindset** * Data\-driven: You interpret analytics to refine your editing choices * Speed with quality: Comfortable with fast turnaround without sacrificing craft * Ownership mentality: You treat projects like they're yours, not just assigned tasks * Curious and coachable: You ask "why did that work?" and actually implement feedback **Results:** **Within 30 Days:** * Onboarded into our systems (Slack, Notion, file management) * Producing 5\-10 clips per week at brand standard * First\-approval rate of 70%\+ (edits need minimal revision) **Within 60 Days:** * Producing 10\-15 clips per week at full capacity * Maintain first\-approval rate of 85%\+ (edits need minimal revision) * Demonstrating clear understanding of what performs for our audiences **Within 90 Days:** * Operating independently with minimal oversight * Content performing above baseline engagement metrics * Proactively surfacing creative ideas and trend opportunities * Ready to contribute to broader content strategy discussions **Location:** Fully remote—work from anywhere with reliable WiFi **Compensation:** $21,600 to $28,800\+ USD/year based on volume output, skill \& experience. 30\-60 day paid trial period to ensure mutual fit. Performance bonuses tied to content metrics and quality scores. **Benefits:** * Flexible remote\-first team that values results over hours logged * Part of a dedicated team of 55\+ creative professionals serving 65\+ real estate clients * "Life first, business fills the gaps" philosophy—we work hard, but we respect your time * Clear path to grow within a scaling company (we're growing from 65 to 200\+ clients) * Direct feedback and mentorship—we invest in people who invest in themselves * Opportunity to expand into leadership, strategy, or broader content roles as you prove yourself * A team that practices Extreme Ownership—no blame games, just solutions * Real ownership and impact—your work directly shapes the brands we're building **APPLY NOW:** https://righteous\-chestnut\-b59\.notion.site/2e1353fd5db5815aa523ebb2aaadb01f?pvs\=105 **Knwn Local Core Values:** *Our core values determine who succeeds here. We find joy in the pursuit of mastery and believe excellence is a moving target. **Extreme Ownership** Own the outcome. Take full responsibility for results. Say "I will" instead of "they should." Measure yourself by your clients' success. **Proactive Curiosity** Curious minds build better things. Question everything. Connect ideas others miss. Ask "What if?" and "Why not?" See challenges as opportunities to learn. **Mission Focused** Small things build big things. Align personal purpose with professional pursuit. Find fulfillment in the work itself.
