Wood is seeking an Area Manager – Construction Inspection with extensive experience in substation, power transmission line, and electrical distribution projects to join its Process & Chemicals business unit. The position will be based in San Juan, Argentina. **The Role** Lead all Wood service construction inspection activities technically and operationally, ensuring contractors’ compliance with technical, regulatory, schedule, and quality requirements toward the client, the interconnected system operator, and sector electricity regulatory authorities. **Our Clients and Projects** Designing the future. Required: * Over 20 years of professional experience, including at least 15 years in leadership roles for Construction Inspection or Construction Management on 220 kV or higher transmission projects. * Proven experience on at least one 500 kV Transmission Line project executed in the Andean mountain range. * Proven experience on at least one 500 kV Substation project utilizing GIS technology. * In-depth knowledge of Argentine electricity transmission regulations (AEA, ENRE, CAMMESA, INPRES-CIRSOC, CIRSOC) and specifications of the Argentine interconnected system operator. * Prior experience interfacing with third-party procured Long Lead Items. * Proficiency in document control on Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud platforms (desirable). * Licensed Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineer, holding a valid registration from the Professional Council of Engineering in their respective Argentine jurisdiction. * Postgraduate qualification in project management (e.g., PMP, MSc, or equivalent) — desirable. * HSE certifications: IRATA, NEBOSH, or equivalent; high-altitude work course (Resolution SRT 24/2012) with current medical fitness certification.
