Position Summary: We are seeking a Bachelor of Chemical Sciences professional for R&D, responsible for researching, formulating new products, and overseeing their production, while staying updated on emerging technologies. Collaborative work with quality control and process improvements Our client, a national chemical products manufacturer, is seeking a Bachelor of Chemical Sciences or equivalent professional to join its Research and Development department. Key Responsibilities: Research and propose the use of new raw materials. Formulate new products, conduct laboratory-scale tests/reactions, determine specifications, and supervise production at the plant. Continuously update knowledge of new technologies in the industry. Collaborate with the Quality Control department. Develop and validate new specification control methods. Operate and manage industrial laboratory instruments, such as pH meters, viscometers, balances, spectrophotometers, etc., maintain control logs, perform internal calibrations, and coordinate external calibrations. Actively participate in productive process improvements, raw material replacements, and adoption of new practices. Competencies: Minimum 2 years of experience performing similar functions/tasks. Proficiency in computer tools: Microsoft Office, Windows, email management, remote work applications. Technical English proficiency. Leadership and teamwork skills, results orientation, problem-solving ability, and strong interpersonal relationship management. Hands-on laboratory material and equipment experience is essential for performing titrations and physical/chemical controls. Knowledge of quality management systems and good laboratory practices. Experience with polyelectrolytes is highly valued. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00–16:00.
