You will work in a dynamic environment leveraging cutting-edge technology, engineering best practices, proprietary AI models, and continuous learning — all aimed at democratizing e-commerce and financial services across Latin America. Imagine leading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects and **being responsible for**: * Developing and maintaining Java backend microservices * Participating in the definition and continuous improvement of APIs, architecture, and design patterns applied to the project. * Participating in all stages of development: analysis, hypothesis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production monitoring. * Writing high-quality code, performing complex refactors, and conducting code reviews * Applying development best practices, such as SOLID principles, clean architecture, and API-first design for robust and scalable APIs. * Building and evolving internal libraries, APIs, and critical tools to scale and maintain MELI’s image ecosystem. **What are we looking for?** * More than 4 years of experience in similar roles, with strong expertise in Java — preferably using frameworks such as Javalin or Spring Boot. * Proficiency in architectural patterns, development best practices, and Clean Code * Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases. * Experience with asynchronous messaging and processing via queues or jobs, as well as experience working with large codebases and distributed systems. * Experience with version control tools such as Git and monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, etc. **Are you ready to leave your mark on Latin American technology?** Apply now and join our mission!
