* Verify compliance and understanding of quality requirements as established in the contract. * Ensure timely development of the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) specific to the contract. * Monitor subcontractors to verify they are following approved project quality manuals and ITPs. * Ensure all inspection requirements are met. * Perform daily site surveillance, inspections, surveys, audits, and supplier/subcontractor evaluations, and provide detailed documentation and reports of these activities. * Ensure required site inspections are performed by subcontractor quality control inspectors and that records are properly filed in project data books. * Verify that site quality-related activities comply with codes and standards. * Periodically verify that the subcontractor maintains weld tracking and that NDE percentages and records are accurate. * Review and approve welding procedure qualifications, welder qualifications, and verify personnel certifications. * Provide assistance with planning and scheduling of NDE inspections. * Perform visual examinations and review welding, NDE, PMI, and PWHT, and generate inspection reports. * Verify compliance with inspection examinations and recordkeeping. * Provide assistance with preparation and execution of test packages. * Perform other related tasks as assigned by management Technical knowledge required: * Possess in-depth knowledge of discipline-specific construction codes and other applicable codes and standards * Conduct field inspections and produce inspection reports for various construction activities * Have practical knowledge of discipline-related codes and standards in the design, fabrication, and installation of piping in process and refinery plants * Must be able to interpret disciplinary inspection activities and test results * Ability to multitask, solve problems, and constructively contribute to achieving project team objectives with minimal supervision * Capable of observing safety and protective procedures * Works with integrity and is willing to follow established corporate ethics * Experience in the Oil & Gas/Mining industry * Experience in Refineries/Mines
