Job Summary: We are seeking a Cloud Platform Architect (AWS) to design and govern the platform architecture on AWS, defining standards and reference architectures for building secure, scalable, and resilient solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally with Architecture, Security, DevOps, and SRE teams We are looking for a **Cloud Platform Architect (AWS)** to join a leading company in the fintech and digital payments ecosystem, contributing to the evolution and governance of its cloud technology platform. The role’s mission is to design and govern the AWS platform architecture, defining standards, reference architectures, and cloud capabilities that enable development and architecture teams to build secure, scalable, and resilient solutions. This position will play a key role in consolidating a consistent and reusable corporate cloud platform, empowering technology teams to develop services on a common foundation aligned with AWS best practices—and focused on security, operational excellence, and cost efficiency. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Solution Architecture, Cloud Platform Engineering, Security, DevOps, and SRE teams, contributing to the evolution of the organization’s cloud standard. **Your key responsibilities will include** * Designing the AWS platform reference architecture, including landing zones, multi-account model, and foundational services supporting organizational solutions. * Defining cloud architecture standards and platform golden paths, promoting consistency and reducing variability across technology environments. * Establishing security, networking, identity, and cloud governance guidelines, ensuring solutions are built on security-by-design principles. * Defining Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and change management standards for cloud environments, enabling reproducible, auditable, and traceable deployments. * Driving observability, resilience, high availability, and cloud cost management capabilities, contributing to the platform’s operational stability. * Documenting architectures, patterns, and technical decisions to scale platform adoption across the organization. * Identifying structural risks in the cloud platform and defining early mitigation strategies. * Contributing to the evolution of the cloud platform roadmap and adoption of new AWS technologies within the ecosystem. **What we expect from you** * 5+ years of experience in cloud, platform, or technology infrastructure architecture roles. * Proven experience designing and governing cloud platforms on AWS. * Knowledge of multi-account cloud architectures, AWS landing zones, and AWS environment governance. * Experience working with core AWS services related to account governance, networking, security, compute, containers, storage, and managed databases. * Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation). * Knowledge of observability, resilience, and high availability in cloud platforms. * Experience applying FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization practices. * Cross-functional collaboration experience with Solution Architecture, Security, DevOps, and operations teams. * University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields. **What we value in your profile** * **Platform thinking**: Ability to design reusable architectures that enable scalable technological development across the organization. * **Systems thinking**: Holistic understanding of complex cloud platforms and their impact on business operations. * **Technical leadership**: Ability to influence multidisciplinary teams by promoting architectural standards and best practices. * **Effective communication**: Skill in explaining complex technical concepts to diverse technical and business audiences. * **Technical rigor**: Focus on architectural governance, documentation, and prevention of technological risks. * **Collaborative mindset**: Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams across the organization. **What our client offers** * Direct employment with a leading provider of payment solutions. * Hybrid work model (CABA). * 30 remote workdays per year from anywhere in the world. * Annual performance bonus + periodic salary reviews. * Monthly internet reimbursement and delivery platform credit. * Premium health insurance for you and your family. * Working-day vacation days + extended family leave. * Access to continuous learning, certifications, and educational partnerships. * Modern, tech-enabled workspaces, plus team activities and events.
