To continue positively impacting more people's lives, we are looking to add an ***IT Manager of Infrastructure, DB \& Storage/Backup*** to the Systems and Technology Department at Swiss Medical. **About the Role** You will be responsible for ensuring the operation, availability, and evolution of the infrastructure (on\-premise and cloud), database platforms (including AIX with Sybase/Oracle and SQL), and storage and backup platforms, leading teams, initiatives, and vendors with a focus on SLA, continuity, security, automation, and efficiency. Teams managed: * Infrastructure: on\-premise, cloud, and DevOps. * DB: AIX (Sybase/Oracle) and SQL, on\-premise and cloud. * Storage \& Backup: storage (SAN/NAS/object) and data protection/recovery. **Responsibilities** * **Lead and develop** teams (Infra, DB, Storage/Backup): goals, coaching, performance, and team culture. * **Govern demand and operations** using **Jira** (initiatives with *Discovery*) and **ITSM** (incidents, problems, and changes), ensuring **SLAs**. * **Define hybrid and multi\-cloud architecture** (**AWS, GCP, Azure**) and its evolution roadmap. * **Design, manage, and test DRP**: RTO/RPO, runbooks, drills, and continuous improvement. * **Drive optimization and automation**: IaC with **Ansible**, **CI/CD pipelines**, **Python** for orchestration and reducing manual work. * **Ensure security**: policies, risk management, patching, and compliance. * **Manage data centers and rack rooms** (internal/external): standards, audits, and maintenance. * **Manage vendors and contracts**: KPIs, reports, and decisions regarding continuity/improvement. * **Lead RFP/RFI processes** and **comparative matrices** for efficient procurement. * **Plan and execute annual budget**, aligned with business objectives. * **Plan and execute firmware/software updates** on **mission-critical platforms** while minimizing risk. * **Manage Storage \& Backup**: + Strategy for **capacity, performance, and tiering** (block/file/object). + **Backup/restore** policies, retention, **immutability/WORM**, encryption, and **periodic restoration testing**. + **Replication** and offsite/copies across regions, integrated into **DRP** (ensuring RPO/RTO compliance). + **Monitoring** of health and capacity; automation of jobs and lifecycle (APIs, Ansible, Python). * **Communicate executive status** of Infra, DB, and Storage/Backup, along with mitigation/optimization plans. **Requirements** * **Student or graduate** in Computer Science or related Engineering field. * Experience leading **Infra, DB, and Storage/Backup** in **hybrid and multi\-cloud** environments. * Proficiency in **Microsoft**, **Linux/Red Hat**, **Oracle**, **AIX**, **Sybase**, **SQL**, **AWS/GCP/Azure**, **Python**, **Ansible**, **CI/CD**, **security**, and **storage/backup technologies** (SAN/NAS/object, snapshot/replication). * Experience with **Jira (Discovery)** and **ITSM**. * Strong knowledge in **designing and managing DRP**. * **DevOps mindset**, analytical approach, and excellent communication skills with business and technical teams. **Benefits** Great development opportunity. ‍ Health insurance for you and your family ️Additional vacation days. ‍ Connectivity payment benefit Flexible hours and hybrid work model Udemy licenses for training in any topic you choose.
