Collaborate across teams to deliver mission-critical functionality We are seeking a **Senior Software Enginee**r to help build and scale Tongo’s fintech platform using modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, Next.js) and Go\-based backend services, while leveraging Claude Code AI as a core part of the development workflow. This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and user\-centric systems across web and backend layers, using AI\-assisted development to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and enhance system design. You’ll collaborate closely with product, data, finance, and platform teams to deliver mission\-critical functionality for payments, risk, and real\-estate financial workflows. **Required Qualifications** * 5\+ years of experience as a Software Engineer working across frontend and/or backend systems. * Strong experience with Go for backend services. * Hands\-on experience with Angular, React, and/or Next.js in production environments. * Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, system design, and distributed systems fundamentals. * Experience using AI coding assistants (Claude, GPT\-based tools, Copilot, etc.) as part ofdaily development. * Familiarity with cloud\-based environments and modern deployment practices. * Understanding of security, data protection, and compliance considerations in regulated systems. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, build, and maintain backend services in Go and frontend applications using Angular, React, and Next.js. * Leverage Claude Code AI (and similar LLM tools) for: \* AI\-assisted coding, refactoring, and documentation \* Rapid prototyping and architecture exploration \*Test generation, code reviews, and debugging * Build and integrate APIs and services that interact with financial platforms, third\-party providers, and internal systems. * Develop data\-aware services that support reporting, reconciliation, and operational workflows. * Implement secure authentication, authorization, and role\-based access control patterns. * Partner with product and design teams to deliver intuitive, performant user experiences. * Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure\-as\-code practices. * Apply security, reliability, and compliance best practices in a regulated fintech environment (SOC 2, PCI). * Document system architecture, service contracts, and AI\-augmented development patterns. * Mentor engineers and help define best practices for using AI effectively in software development. **Preferred Skills** * Experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, or similar). * Exposure to event\-driven architectures or messaging systems. * Familiarity with financial APIs, payments, commissions, or banking integrations. * Experience working with analytics\-backed applications or data\-heavy workflows. * Optional experience with Python for scripting, automation, or internal tooling. * Experience building or contributing to design systems or shared frontend component libraries. * Interest in agentic AI tools and workflow automation (n8n, Zapier, internal AI agents). **Soft Skills** * Strong ownership mentality and bias toward execution. * Comfortable working in a fast\-paced startup environment. * Clear communicator across engineering, product, and business teams. * Curious, adaptable, and excited about AI\-augmented software development. * Passion for clean, maintainable, and well\-documented code.
