Job Summary: We are seeking a professional to administer and configure virtualized environments (Hyper-V and SQL Server), ensuring performance, security, and automated maintenance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Hyper-V and SQL Server administration and configuration. 2. Hardware and database performance monitoring. 3. Implementation of backup policies and disaster recovery. Virtualization: Install, configure, and manage Hyper-V hosts. Create and manage virtual machines (VMs) optimized for SQL Server workloads. · SQL Server Management: Installation, patching, and configuration of SQL Server instances (2019/2022/2025). · Performance: Monitoring performance at both the virtual hardware level (CPU/RAM/Disk) and the database engine level (indexes, locks, slow queries). · Security and Backup: Execute robust backup policies and disaster recovery plans (DRP). · Maintenance: Automate tasks using PowerShell and T-SQL. · 1. Infrastructure and Virtualization · Windows Server: Solid experience with versions 2022 and 2025 and earlier (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP). · Networking: Configuration of virtual networks, VLANs, and segmentation for data vs. management traffic. · 2.
