You’ll work on real production pipelines—not toy datasets—using cloud\-native architectures and best\-in\-class tooling. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning messy data into reliable, high\-performance data products and wants to be close to both the business and technology. **What you will do:** * Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake) * Develop and optimize ETL / ELT workflows for batch and streaming data * Implement medallion architectures (Bronze / Silver / Gold) and data quality frameworks * Optimize Spark jobs for performance, cost, and reliability * Partner with analytics, data science, and application teams to deliver trusted datasets * Implement data governance, lineage, and security controls * Monitor pipelines and troubleshoot production issues * Contribute to platform standards, reusable patterns, and engineering best practices **What you bring:** * 3\+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role * Strong hands\-on experience with Databricks in production * Proficiency in Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala) * Experience with Delta Lake (ACID tables, schema evolution, time travel) * Strong SQL skills and data modeling experience * Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP * Solid understanding of data engineering fundamentals (partitioning, joins, file formats, orchestration) **Nice if you have:** * Experience with Databricks Workflows, Unity Catalog, and cluster policies * Streaming experience (Structured Streaming, Kafka, Event Hubs, Kinesis) * Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, ADF, Dagster, dbt) * CI/CD for data pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform) * Familiarity with Lakehouse architectures and modern analytics stacks * Exposure to ML pipelines or feature stores * Experience in regulated (financial) or enterprise environments is a bonus **Equal Opportunity Employer:** AspenView is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
