Performance analysis and optimization At ADN – Human Resources, we are searching for a DB2 Database Administrator / Remote position for a Major Company. Requirements: - Minimum of three years of experience in problem anticipation. - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred). - Proactive profile oriented toward continuous improvement. - Ability to anticipate issues and apply preventive thinking. - Technical judgment for decision-making in critical environments. - Clear communication and collaborative work with infrastructure and development teams. Mandatory Skills: - Verifiable senior experience in DB2 for i (AS/400, IBM i) administration. - Experience in high-criticality production environments. - Advanced proficiency in SQL (native and embedded) and CL commands. - Solid knowledge of: ? Execution plans ? Indexing strategies ? Journaling ? Backup & Recovery - Security and access control ? Replication / High Availability - Experience in preventive performance analysis and operational risk management. Responsibilities: - Advanced administration of DB2 for i databases across development, testing, and production environments. - Comprehensive management of backups, restorations, and periodic recovery tests. - Performance analysis and optimization (SQL tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing). - Proactive monitoring and early detection of risks. - Implementation and improvement of security policies and access controls. - Management of journaling, replication, and high-availability mechanisms. - Specialized technical support to development teams for data modeling and optimization. - Active participation in critical incident management and root cause analysis. - Technical documentation and continuous improvement of operational standards.
