Job Summary: We are seeking an RPG AS/400 Developer to lead the development, analysis, design, maintenance, testing, and documentation of complex applications, collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior developers. Analysis and Design: - Collaborate with systems analysts and other team members to understand user requirements and design effective solutions. - Contribute to system architectural design by applying best practices and development patterns. Maintenance and Optimization: - Perform ongoing maintenance of existing applications, identifying and resolving potential issues. - Optimize application performance by implementing improvements and updates as needed. Testing and Quality Assurance: - Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure functionality and software quality. - Develop and execute unit and integration tests to validate application stability and reliability. Documentation: - Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date technical documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications. - Collaborate on technical documentation creation to facilitate code maintenance and understanding. Collaboration and Training: - Collaborate with other developers and interdisciplinary teams. - Provide guidance and training to more junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
