For our Wommelgem/Halle location, we are seeking a Quality Engineer. ### **Your responsibilities and tasks** As a Quality Engineer, you are the driving force behind ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction across our Wommelgem and Halle sites. You translate quality standards into practical solutions, ensure compliance with internal and external standards, and promote continuous improvement. From quality inspections and audits to root cause analyses and process optimization—you turn quality into more than just a requirement; you make it a key to success! Your responsibilities: * Supporting and guiding Quality Control departments by performing visual and dimensional inspections on incoming components and swiftly resolving non-conformities according to product specifications. * Monitoring compliance with internal quality standards and product specifications. * Recording measurement results and deviations (NCRs) in the ERP system (SAP) and tracking corrective actions. * Handling non-conformities and customer complaints using structured methodologies such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa, and 8D. * Conducting supplier audits domestically and internationally to evaluate quality systems and process reliability. * Actively contributing to internal process improvements and implementing a new optical measurement system. * Supporting internal and external audits and following up on outstanding actions (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and customer audits). ### **Your profile and qualifications** You are a precise and analytical professional with a keen eye for detail and a strong drive to continuously improve quality processes. You know how to systematically and sustainably tackle problems within a team setting and possess a proactive attitude to independently lead projects. Additionally, you have: * A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electromechanics or a related technical field is a plus. * Interest in developing as a Quality Engineer or Quality Coordinator in an industrial or production environment and autonomously executing projects. * Experience with technical audits, supplier evaluation, and ERP systems is a plus. * Strong analytical skills and a structured approach. * A proactive mindset and the ability to independently execute projects.
