We are currently seeking a WELDING OPERATOR to work at our headquarters in RIO TERCERO, Córdoba, Argentina. **Responsibilities** --------------------- * Apply organizational principles, values, and management policies within the scope of their activities * Continuously seek improvements in their area of expertise to keep processes up-to-date and competitive * Comply with established occupational safety procedures * Maintain a clean and organized workplace * Perform assembly tasks (tack welding) and welding on low/medium complexity components and subcomponents according to production schedule * Operate overhead cranes as required for production * Complete or follow up on manufacturing orders within the department * Perform general inspection of equipment to be used * Perform work using angle grinders and straight grinders (Turbinetas) * Identify different types of abrasive discs and select appropriate ones based on the task * Use of torch, which is utilized in certain areas requiring preheating, such as cylinders, rods, pivots, columns, among others * Conduct visual inspection of welded components, verifying quality requirements * Properly use PPE, work instructions, checklists, and other documents **Competencies** ---------------- * Completed secondary school or technical education, preferably in metallurgy or mechatronics * Experience in welding or related tasks * Ability to adjust welding power sources * Training in welding-related topics and/or applicable procedures for the role * Reading and interpreting blueprints * Interpretation of welding symbols * Metrology * GMAW welding process * Welding qualification * Identification of welding defects * Welding symbology * Differentiation between discontinuities and defects * Component assembly – tack welding * Knowledge of workplace safety * Use of hand tools (angle grinder / straight grinder / torch) * Knowledge of best practices when using manual grinders * Ability to perform effectively in a fixed work station, with foundational knowledge applicable to similar components.
