Summary: The National Development Manager drives gross profit and market share by cultivating relationships with new and existing customers, focusing on large opportunities and multinational companies. Highlights: 1. Develop sales strategies for Platinum/Diamond and Multinational customer base 2. Maintain strong business relationships and thorough product knowledge 3. Engage in aggressive sales training and utilize CRM system JAS is an international, non\-asset\-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services. SUMMARY: The National Development Manager (NDM) is responsible for increasing gross profit and market share while developing ongoing relationships with new and existing customers. The NDM will pursue large opportunities (mostly Platinum level) and multinational companies. He or she will also cooperate with the JAS Global Accounts and Vertical teams and as directed by local management. Local management can direct the NDM to develop specific markets.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** ======================== * Develop sales strategies to increase our PLATINUM/Diamond and Multinational customer base * Maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services offered by the company * Travel throughout assigned territory to meet with regular and prospective customers * Able to develop and maintain strong business relationships * Provide pricing, credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained * Provide activity reports and sales plans for the assigned territory * Actively participate in aggressive sales and skills training and/or any other company sponsored sales meeting as indicated by management * Adhere to all requirements outlined in the Sales Policy * Must be an avid user of our CRM system * Other duties as may be assigned **SUPERVISORY** **RESPONSIBILITIES:** None **QUALIFICATIONS:** * **Excellent organizational skills** * Excellent written and verbal skills * Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills * Thorough knowledge of transportation industry logistics and freight forwarding * Thorough knowledge of successful sales techniques * Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite * Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines * Self\-motivated, able to work in a team and independently * Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving record **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** ============================= * College degree preferred * 3\-5 years successful sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics and or transportation industry * Experience with CMS system
